Strengthening place-based data & impact

We bring together existing place-based data knowledge, expertise and resources to adapt, develop and collaborate on practical new tools and opportunities.

Localised data of all types is a key enabler for place-based, community-led change and is increasingly important for the ongoing sustainability of place-based approaches.

But there are many barriers to harnessing these benefits: gaining access to relevant government and service data; acquiring sufficient local resources and capacity for data collection, management and analysis; clearly demonstrating impact to community, funders and stakeholders.

Strengthen Data & Impact works directly with place-based initiatives to develop practical solutions and provide support with implementation. We share tools, resources and opportunities to learn from others.

We aim to build the confidence and capacity of place-based organisations to realise the opportunities of data for their communities, address systemic barriers and strengthen the evidence of place-based approaches and their impact.

We are working across the data ecosystem to address systemic barriers, advocate for practical solutions that will support place-based organisations, and test innovative ways to measure and demonstrate the impact of place-based approaches.
